The following is a running list of businesses and organizations still open to the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you would like your notice added to this list, please contact [email protected]. Additionally, please refer to the Government of Ontario COVID-19 page for information. 

 

National Supply Centre is still open! Although our doors are closed we are still accepting orders by phone and email. Our modified hours are:
Monday- Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Timmins Food Bank is open for clients, however clients will be given pre-packaged bags of food. More information on the changes is available here.

The South Porcupine Food Bank is open. Only four clients are being permitted inside at a time. People who are sick are asked to stay away or wear a face mask.

Timmins City Hall remains open. The public is encouraged to access services from home.

Access to the Timmins Police station is restricted, but all standard emergency services are available. Find out more on the restrictions and COVID-19 screening measures here.

Timmins and District Hospital has increased its restrictions. Hours will be restricted from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., only one visitor, age 18 or older, per patient at one time will be allowed, no visitors will be permitted in high-risk areas such as isolated patients or critical care unit. Exceptions will be made in situations involving trauma and end of life, in consultation with the unit manager.

Shoppers Drug Mart has announced the first hour (8 a.m. to 9 p.m.) of operation will be designated for seniors and those living with disabilities. The store will also offer the 20 per cent senior's discount at this time. 

All grocery stores remain open, and are encouraging shoppers to practice social distancing.

Starting Wednesday, March 18, Your Independent Grocer is opening from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. for a Seniors Only (65 years and up) shopping time.

Cafes and restaurants have been ordered closed to dine-in customers by the province of Ontario, but remain open for take out and delivery.

The Timmins and District Humane Society is limiting public access to the building. More information on what this means for their services is available here.

Kamiskotia Snow Resort is operating in limited capacity. The ski lifts are open, but people are asked to only use the main chalet for essential usage such as warming up or the washroom. The bar and kitchen are closed, and group events such as the Ride 'N Dine are cancelled.

Uride is offering free rides for the next two weeks. To access the free rides, enter the promocode TIMMINSFREE when ordering your ride. There is a maximum of two, $20 rides per day until March 29.
