When the doors to the Timmins Food Bank open tomorrow, clients will notice a few changes.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Timmins Food Bank chair Jim Young said clients will receive four pre-packed bags of food.

He said the bags will have a variety of items and be prepared the same way. There will be no switching of items.

The only exception, he said, is that people with children will be able to shop for baby food.

The Timmins Food Bank is open at 85 Spruce St. N. Wednesday from 8:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. People in line are asked to practise social distancing and leave space you and the next person.

If you'd like to donate to the organization, he said they're in need of toilet paper, as well as non-perishable items such as canned meats and stews.

At the South Porcupine Food Bank, changes have been made to address social distancing standards.

They are only allowing four clients in at a time, and people who are sick are being asked to stay away or wear a face mask.
