Witnesses sought after elderly pedestrian struck in Temagami

OPP say the 87-year-old has life-threatening injuries

An elderly pedestrian has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck in Temagami.

Ontario Provincial Police say the 87-year-old was in the northbound lanes of Highway 11 near Milne Sherman Road when they were hit at around 7 p.m. Friday.

The highway was shut down for about five hours while OPP investigated the collision.

Witnesses are asked to call the Temiskaming OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
