Dirt bikes recovered KIRKLAND LAKE – Members of the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a local man with Theft of a Motor Vehicle Under 5,000 and two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.

KIRKLAND LAKE – Members of the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a local man with Theft of a Motor Vehicle Under 5,000 and two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.

The charges stem from the theft of an off-road motorcycle (dirt bike) at a residence located on Taylor Avenue in Kirkland Lake. The subsequent investigation led to the recovery of the 1983 Suzuki and also a second dirt bike a Honda red in color. Both vehicles were recovered by police at a residence located on Duncan Avenue in Kirkland Lake. The incident occurred at approximately 12:35 p.m. on July 14, 2014.

Charged is Kyle SMITH age 27 of Kirkland Lake. He was remanded into custody pending a bail hearing.
