Search-and-rescue officials in Sault Ste. Marie continue to scour a wooded area of the city for any trace of Ruby Kerr, an 11-year-old girl who vanished Friday morning.
As helicopters circle overhead, nearby residents are being asked to check their properties for potential clues. "Maybe Ruby was looking for somewhere to hunker down overnight," says Lincoln Louttit, a spokesman for the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
Village Media reporter Alex Flood was on the scene Friday night and will continue to cover the breaking story throughout the weekend. In the above video, he lays out the latest developments.
