The Ontario Fire Marshal is investigating. The two-storey house remains under the control of the Timmins Police Service to complete the investigation.

Right now, police say "no indications of foul play have been discovered."

A police presence is expected in the area for another couple of days.

"It is anticipated that the structure will have to be systematically dismantled to allow for the investigators to complete fire origin and other forensic aspects of the investigation," reads the release.

"These necessary processes are painstaking and time-consuming and may take a number of days to complete."

Anyone with relevant information to the investigation is asked to call 705-264-1201.
