Two charged after fentanyl, meth seized in Gogama

GOGAMA – On April 8, 2020 at approximately 9:35 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), OPP North East Region Canine Unit and the South Porcupine OPP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant at a residence in Gogama.  

The OPP seized amounts of methamphetamine, fentanyl and codeine. The estimated street value is approximately $800.  

As a result of the investigation two people have been arrested and charged.  

Henry Lamontagne, age 41 of Gogama was charged with the following:   

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance - opioid (other than heroin) contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA - two counts,  
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance - methamphetamine contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA  

Casey McQue, age 44 of Gogama was charged with the following:    

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance - opioid (other than heroin) contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA - two counts,  
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance - methamphetamine contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA  

The accused were released on an Undertaking and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on July 13, 2020 in Gogama.
