Two arrested on outstanding warrants in unrelated incidents

Both were held in custody to await bail hearings

The Timmins Police Service arrested two local residents on the strength of respective arrest warrants which were executed stemming from separate incidents that occurred over the weekend.

While responding to a suspicious person call for service at a Kimberley Avenue residence during the morning hours of Friday, Oct. 8, a Timmins Police Service officer recognized the subject of the complaint as being a wanted person named in a current arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result, Skylar Faries, 37, of Timmins was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to charges resulting in the Arrest Warrant being issued.

In a separate incident that occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 10, a Timmins Police officer observed a suspicious person while completing crime abatement patrols.

The man was located and interviewed as the Timmins Police Service officer recognized him as being a wanted person named in a current arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result, Tyler McGee, 36, of Timmins was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to charges resulting in the arrest warrant being issued.
