Two arrested in July break-in investigation

The Timmins Police Service has charged two local persons with break and enter related offences stemming from an incident that occurred during the afternoon hours of Thursday, July 23 at a Birch Street North residence.

The Timmins Police Service responded to a call for service where the owner of the residence had discovered that a break-in had occurred and that a collection of vintage silver coins, valued at between $600 and $800, had been taken.

The suspects, Vincent Belair, 33 and his accomplice, Amanda Sutherland, 36, both of Timmins, were positively identified by means of a thorough review of video surveillance capturing both subjects in the act of completing the break-in.

Both suspects are now wanted persons on the strength of arrest warrants held by the Timmins Police Service in regards to this occurrence.

As a result of the incident, both subjects from Timmins will be charged with:
    •    Break and enter with Intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
    •    Possession of property obtained by crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
    •    Fail to comply with probation order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The female suspect will be charged with an additional count of:
    •    Fail to comply with undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The Timmins Police is actively seeking the current whereabouts of these persons in order to complete the arrests of these persons.
