Traffic complaint leads to arrest on outstanding warrant

On Nov. 26, 2021 shortly after 12:30 p.m., members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Bucke Park Road in the City of Temiskaming Shores.   

Further investigation revealed that a driver had been asleep in the vehicle. When officers approached the vehicle, they recognized the individual as being wanted on an outstanding warrant.  

A search incident to arrest yielded a quantity of a suspected controlled substance.

Tyler Corbiere, a 35-year-old resident of Carnarvon Township, has been charged with:

  • Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court, contrary to section 145(5)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance - Cocaine, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance - Methamphetamine, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA
