The Timmins Police Service arrested a Timmins resident stemming from an incident where the suspect was found to be in breach of a set of strict conditions imposed upon her by the Provincial Court in Timmins and specified in a Release Order.

The Timmins Police Service responded to a public complaint regarding a woman who was found to be at a location that she was strictly prohibited from attending pursuant to an Undertaking allowing her to be released from custody while awaiting trial for previous Criminal Code offences.

The responding Timmins Police officers completed an investigation into the matter and determined that such activity was in violation of strict conditions imposed upon her by the Provincial Court in Timmins.

The Timmins Police Service has determined that the breach of the court imposed conditions regarding attending at a Balsam Street South address formulated grounds for an arrest to take place.

As a result, Lynn Beland, 40 of Timmins, was taken into police custody and is charged with:
    •    Fail to comply with release order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the criminal charges laid against her.
