TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE BOARD

The Timmins Police Services Board is pleased to serve public notice that approval has been granted to allow for the Timmins Police Service to host its annual police auction for 2022.
In keeping with the granted approval, the Timmins Police Service will be hosting its annual police auction on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Timmins Police Community Building located at 185 Spruce Street South.
Viewing of all articles up for auction will begin at 8:00 a.m. with the auction commencing at 8:30 a.m.
Of note, this year’s auction includes a one carat Canadian diamond solitaire gold ring. This item will be the first item to be put up for auction and followed by bicycles and other accumulated items.
Please note that all items are sold on an “as is” basis. All sales are final.
Furthermore, the Timmins Police Service does not inspect, warrant or guarantee any of the items sold.
All proceeds generated from this year’s police auctions will be forwarded to the Timmins Police Services Board, which in turn, will use these funds to purchase equipment beneficial to the safety of our community.
The Timmins Police Service would like to draw attention to the following auction policies.
1. Anyone claiming ownership of any given article up for auction must provide some legitimate form of “proof of ownership” so that the item can be released to the rightful owner.
2. Cheques for payment less than $50.00 will not be accepted. As a precautionary measure, anyone making payment by cheque must provide some form of valid government identification with issued photo ID.
3. HST will be applied to all sales. Auction coordinators with the Timmins Police Service will only accept cash payment or cheques if the amount exceeds $50.
