Timmins Police are looking to identify who broke into Alfie's Cigar Store in downtown Timmins on May 9.

Police are looking to identify the person who broke into a downtown store and stole lottery tickets and a bag of chips.

On May 9, someone called Timmins Police to report that they had "witnessed a male smashing the front window to Alfie’s Cigar Store and enter the building" on Third Avenue.

"The suspect pulled the plywood off of the window, smashed the window with a chunk of concrete and then proceeded to smash the rest of the window with the plywood," said police on Facebook.

The male suspect took a tray of lottery scratch tickets and a bag of Ruffles chips worth $5.39.

"The suspect is believed to be a caucasian male who was wearing a black Carhartt brand hoodie, black Reebok brand sweatpants and black gloves at the time of the break-in," said police.

"The suspect covered his face with what appears to be a paintball-style mask with a clear lens over his eyes."

The person also had a small black backpack with yellow accents. He was last seen running west on Third Avenue and then north on Cedar Street.
