Police seize methamphetamine during arrest

Accused also charged with breaching probation

The Timmins Police Service located and arrested a local resident early this morning in regards to a breach of release conditions imposed upon the charged person by the Provincial Court in Timmins.

Responding to a call regarding a person alleged to be in breach of court imposed release conditions, a Timmins Police Service officer located a male subject at a Timmins hotel and confirmed that the suspect was in fact in breaching his court imposed conditions.

Upon arrest, the officer located a quantity of methamphetamine tablets on the subject’s person.

As a result, Samuel Reuben, 30 of Timmins was arrested and taken into police custody and is charged with:
    •    Fail to comply with release order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
    •    Fail to comply with probation order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
    •    Possession of a controlled substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to these charges laid against him.
