Police seize baton from man in Kirkland Lake

On Oct. 6, 2021, frontline members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a person with a baton Kirkland Street in the Town of Kirkland Lake.

Police located the person and seized a collapsible baton.

As a result, Curtis Woollings, 30 years of age, of Kirkland Lake, has been arrested and charged with Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, contrary to section 88 of the Criminal Code.

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Oct. 21, 2021, in Kirkland Lake.
