The Timmins Police Service is currently investigating an incident where a local man sustained serious injury in an altercation that had allegedly taken place at a Birch St. S. residence yesterday evening.
The assaultive altercation resulted in a 31-year-old male resident of Timmins sustaining a stab wound to the head and a second stab wound to the leg.
The man was located by a Timmins Police Service officer who was patrolling the downtown core of Timmins late yesterday evening.
The injured man was brought to Timmins and District Hospital by ambulance where he received medical treatment for his injuries.
This matter remains under investigation by the Timmins Police Service – Criminal Investigations Division at this time.
