Police identify cyclists killed in Temiskaming Shores crash

Police have identified the two victims of a Temiskaming Shores crash. 

According to Temiskaming OPP, cyclists Garnett Johnson, 74, of Temiskaming Shores and Jeffrey Splinter, 53, of Sault Ste. Marie were killed in the July 29 collision.

Police responded to the collision involving a bus and two cyclists on Lakeshore Road in Temiskaming Shores July 29 around 2 p.m.

The road was closed for several hours and has since re-opened, say police.

The investigation is ongoing with help from the OPP's Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) and the Office of the Chief Coroner - Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
