The Ontario Provincial Police in South Porcupine are probing a single motor-vehicle collision on Highway 144 in which the passenger died and the driver suffered serious injuries.
On Sept. 9, shortly before 8 a.m., officers responded to the crash in St. Louis Township, approximately 15 km south of Gogama, according to a news release.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital, the release added. The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team. The highway has since been re-opened.
