A murder investigation is underway after a body was found in an apartment yesterday morning.
In the early morning hours of Sunday, Dec. 18, Timmins Police say the body of a male was found at a Mountjoy Street South apartment.
The victim was brought to the hospital and pronounced dead by the coroner at Timmins and District Hospital, say police. The name of the victim will not be released until they are positively identified and next of kin have been notified.
"The scene remains under the control of the Timmins Police Service to allow for Forensic Identification Unit officers to complete their investigative tasks," reads the news release.
