Man wanted on outstanding warrant spotted by Timmins Police

The Timmins Police Service arrested a local resident on the strength of an arrest warrant which was executed in the downtown core during the morning hours of Wednesday, Aug. 19 by the Timmins Police Service.

While on patrol of his assigned patrol zone, a Timmins Police Service officer recognized a male subject as being a wanted person pursuant to an arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result, Andrew Wesley, 41 of Timmins, was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

Wesley remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to charges stemming from a previous incident resulting in the warrant being issued for his arrest.
