Kirkland Lake man caught driving with suspended licence

The 45-year-old was charged with weapon possession and driving while under suspension

KIRKLAND LAKE, On. -  On May 23, 2022, frontline members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on general law enforcement patrol when they saw a suspended driver operating a motor vehicle on Goodfish Road in the Town of Kirkland Lake.

After the officers conducted a traffic stop, they confirmed that the driver's licence was suspended. The officers also seized a prohibited weapon.

As a result, Michael Davis, 45, from Kirkland Lake, has been charged with:

  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 30, 2022, in Kirkland Lake.
