The Timmins Police Service has charged four persons with a number of Criminal Code and Drug Possession offences stemming from the execution of a Search Warrant at an Elm Street North residence yesterday afternoon.
A search warrant was executed allowing entry into the residence by TPS drug enforcement officers working in coordination with TPS platoon officers, and the Timmins Police – Emergency Response Team.
As a result, the following exhibits were located and seized by the Timmins Police Service:
- 64.7 grams of Fentanyl 'blue' with an estimated street value of $38,820
- $1,930 in Canadian currency
The total street value of the drugs and cash seized is $40,750.
As a result of the incident, Jeremy Robineau, 45, of Timmins, was arrested and has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
Additionally, Nelson Lasu, 21, of No Fixed Address, Debroy Matthews, 20, of Toronto and Jacqueline Noah, 34, of Timmins, were arrested and have been charged respectively with:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
- Possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
Lasu stands charged with 3 additional counts of fail to comply with probation order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada All four charged persons remain in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against them.
