A news release issued today by the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reports that an 86-year-old was pronounced deceased at the scene of an ATV crash near Chapleau yesterday.
Officers responded to the single vehicle collision in the area of Nagasin Lake at approximately 5:15 p.m.
The victim has been identified as Andre Vanmaele of Tillsonburg, Ont.
"The investigation is on-going with the assistance of the North East Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team including a Technical Collision Investigator (TCI) and a reconstructionist," the release states.
