Complaint of break-in in progress results in charges for Timmins man

He's accused of breaking and entering, uttering threats

The Timmins Police Service has charged a local resident with break-in related offences stemming from an incident which occurred during the morning hours of Thursday, April 9 th at a Maple Street North residence.

The Timmins Police Service received a complaint of a break-in in progress. Responding officers located the suspect who had forcibly gained entry into the residence.

The man was arrested and taken into custody by the Timmins Police Service. Additional investigation by the responding Timmins Police Service officers determined that other offences had previously taken place meriting additional Criminal Code charges.

As a result of the incident, Jeremy Luzanski, 31, of Timmins, has been charged with:

  • Break and enter with intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Two counts of uttering threats contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Fail to comply with probation order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Fail to comply with release documents contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning (April 14) at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.
