Complaint leads to arrest of Timmins man

Accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing

The Timmins Police Service has arrested a Timmins resident stemming from an early afternoon incident that occurred yesterday (Oct. 4) where the suspect was found to be in breach of a set of court imposed conditions listed in an undertaking.

The Timmins Police Service responded to a complaint regarding a man who had attended at a Spruce Street South apartment building and [allegedly] proceeded to accost a woman resident.

The responding Timmins Police officers completed an investigation into the matter and determined that such activity was in violation of strict conditions imposed upon the man in pre-trial release documents.

The Timmins Police Service located the man a short while later and completed an arrest without incident.

As a result, Larry Fireman, 43 of Timmins, was taken into police custody and is charged with two counts of fail to comply with undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the criminal charges laid against him.
