KIRKLAND LAKE - A Kirkland Lake man is facing a number of serious charges.
On Sept. 8, Kirkland Lake OPP officers responded to a reported assault in the community.
As a result of the investigation, a 24-year-old man is charged with:
- Robbery with theft
- 2 counts of assault with a weapon
- Mischief - destroys or damages property
- Cruelty to animals - unnecessary pain, suffering or injury
- Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing today (Sept. 12).
None of the charges have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
