A homeowner discovered an unwanted visitor inside their residence last week.
On Friday afternoon (Sept. 22), Timmins Police say the owner of a Carlin Avenue residence returned home to find that their house had been broken into.
"The property owner remained outside awaiting police arrival," reads a Timmins Police news release.
"Once on scene, Timmins Police officers entered the residence and located the suspect."
The property received minor damage in the incident.
A 27-year-old man from Timmins is charged with break and enter, and possession of break and enter tools.
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing today.
None of the charges have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
