An arrest warrant has been issued after a 58-year-old Moose Factory man was murdered.
Around 4:15 p.m. on Oct. 2, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS) responded to an assault call on Sakabuskum Road in Moose Factory.
Gilbert Tomagatick, 58, was found seriously injured and brought to hospital, said James Bay OPP. Tomagatick later died from his injuries.
Otis Faries, 31, of Moose Factory is wanted for first-degree murder. An arrest warrant has been issued for him.
Police are asking for the public's help. People are asked to share any information that could further the investigation and help safely locate Faries.
The murder investigation is ongoing. It involves the James Bay OPP, James Bay OPP Crime Unit and NAPS under the direction of the OPP's Criminal Investigation Branch.
