A local man is facing charges after allegedly firing a pellet gun at a residence.
Timmins Police say that the incidents happened on Sept. 27 and Oct. 2. Police allege the suspect went to a Cameron Street South residence and discharged a pellet gun at it, causing damage on both occasions.
During one of the incidents, police say the suspect used a vehicle without the owner's permission. The suspect was identified by police using CCTV footage.
A 55-year-old Timmins man is charged with:
- Mischief to property
- Take motor vehicle without owner's consent
- Careless use of a firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Use firearm in the commission of an offence
- Criminal harassment
- Failing to comply with a probation order
- Breach of recognizance
- 2 counts of failing to comply with a release order
- 2 counts of driving while under suspension
The accused is in police custody waiting for a court appearance on Oct. 6.
None of the charges have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
