On July 4, 2023, shortly after 7:45 p.m., members from the South Porcupine Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Timmins Ambulance Service and Timmins Fire Department responded to a marine collision involving a personal watercraft and a boat that was parked on a boat lift on Kamiskotia Lake (Leclair Avenue) in the City of Timmins.
An eight- and nine-year-old were transported to local hospital in Timmins with serious injuries.
The investigation is on-going with the assistance from the OPP's Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) and the Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) units.
