Police say there's over $5,000 in damage

Police are looking for help to find out who vandalized vehicles in Timmins.

The incident is this week's crime of the week for Cochrane District Crime Stoppers.

Sometime during the late hours of Sept. 19 and early morning of Sept. 20, 13 vehicles were vandalized on Lakeshore Road. Police say vehicles were parked on the street and in private driveways.

"The culprits used a sharp object to carve words and other markings in the paint of all of these vehicles with an estimated damage being calculated at well over $5,000," reads the news release.

Anyone with information on who is responsible is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visit p3tips.com.
