A five-game round-robin series kicked off the tournament, with Timmins skating away with three wins and two ties.  The wins were 4-1 against the Ottawa Ice, 5-3 against West Ottawa, and 4-2 over Chatham. They tied against Greater Sudbury and Mitchell.

Timmins went into the semifinals in first place and faced off against the Sunderland Stingers, with Sunderland winning the game 3-2.
