Timmins Fall Fair

Saturday, Sept. 8, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Sunday, Sept. 9, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Mountjoy Arena, 814 Park Ave.

General admission is $10, children ages three to 12 are $5, children two and under are free.

Kidney Walk – Timmins Porcupine Region

Saturday, Sept. 8, 11 a.m.

Gillies Lake

Help raise money for research, programming and services for people living with kidney disease.

Timmins Rock Home Opener

Saturday, Sept. 8

McIntyre Arena

The road will be temporarily closed to traffic in front of the arena from 1p.m. to  7 p.m. for a tailgate party that kicks off at 3 p.m. for the Junior A hockey club’s home opener.

Timmins Coin Club

Sunday, Sept. 9, 1:30 p.m.

Timmins Museum

The club is back for its first fall meeting. There will be a presentation on Canadian Mule coins and an update on the 5th Annual Timmins Coin and Paper Money Auction on Sept. 30. New members are welcome. For more information, email [email protected].

Proceeds are for the Porquis Recreation Association. The event will feature a question and answer session and opportunities to experience random messages from loved ones on the other side. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door and available by calling Paul Charette at 705-288-2104.
