Second pot shop planned for Timmins

They're hoping for a fall opening

A second pot shop is getting ready to open in Timmins.

Signs for Sessions Cannabis have gone up inside the former party store in the Park Road Square, 425 Algonquin Blvd. According to the company, the opening is planned for this fall, "pending the 'green' light from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario."

The Timmins location is one of 30 new stores Sessions Cannabis is opening in Ontario this year.

According to the announcement, the stores are open-concept environments where people can browse reputable and popular brands.

“We like to say ‘Your next Session starts here’ because we want consumers to consider shopping for cannabis to be a part of the cannabis experience they look forward to,” said Steven Fry, CEO of Sessions Cannabis, in a news release.

The first recreational marijuana store opened in Timmins in May under the Hobo brand.
