District School Board Ontario North East is thrilled to announce the appointment of Lisa Edwards as Superintendent of Business and Treasurer/ Chief Financial Officer.
Ms. Edwards has extensive experience overseeing multiple geographically dispersed operations and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. Her skills in financial project management, change management and deploying best practices will be an important asset to DSB1.
“I am so proud of the appointment of Lisa Edwards to the DSB1 Administrative Council team. Lisa meets the expectations and needs of DSB1. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a growth mindset and strong leadership skills. I look forward to working closely with her to continue to support all learners in DSB1”, said Lesleigh Dye, Director of Education.
Ms. Edwards has worked in the private sector in the Timmins area for several years. She looks forward to bringing her professional experience to education and working towards DSB1’s vision of empowering all learners to achieve personal excellence.
“I am excited to be joining the DSB1 team. I look forward to this professional growth opportunity and developing new relationships and friendships. I also look forward to sharing my skills and working with the team”, shared Lisa Edwards.
Lisa Edwards will assume her new duties in the near future. Her arrival is in response to the upcoming retirement of Pearl Fong-West. DSB1 would like to take this opportunity to thank Pearl for her commitment and dedication during her tenure with the board.
