A COVID-19 exposure advisory has been issued for a Monday flight into Timmins.
It affects the Monday, Aug. 23 Air Canada flight AC8289 flight scheduled to leave from Toronto to Timmins at 9:10 p.m. People in rows 15 to 19 are considered high-risk and must self-isolate immediately, reads the Porcupine Health Unit bulletin.
Passengers in the affected rows should also call the COVID-19 information line at 705-360-4819 or their local public health unit.
All other passengers are at low risk for exposure and should self-monitor for symptoms for 10 days.
This exposure advisory is in addition to yesterday's, which was for the Sunday, Aug. 22 Air Canada flight AC8285 scheduled to leave Toronto at 2:15 p.m. More information is available here.
Typical COVID-19 symptoms are:
- fever
- new or worsening cough
- shortness of breath
- loss of sense of smell or taste
- sore throat or hoarse voice
- difficulty swallowing
- runny nose or nasal congestion
- nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain
Atypical symptoms are:
- unexplained fatigue or malaise
- muscle aches
- delirium
- unexplained or increased number of falls
- acute functional decline
- exacerbation of current chronic conditions
- chills
- headaches
- croup
- conjuctivitis
