OPP investigates 40 domestic incidents in August

KIRKLAND LAKE - Members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have investigated 40 domestic-related incidents in the month of August, seven of which resulted in someone being charged with a criminal offence. 

Some of the charges include:  

  • Assault (seven counts)
  • Uttering Threats - Cause Death or Bodily Harm (three counts)
  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Break, Enter Dwelling House
  • Mischief Under $5,000
  • Fail to Comply with Recognizance
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The OPP will not be releasing names in order to protect the identity of the victims.
