A Timmins mine is boosting the Youth Wellness Hub.

Glencore Kidd Operations has donated $9,999 to the local group that has been providing services virtually to youth throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The money will be used to buy equipment and supplies for Youth Wellness Hub programs and activities that support mental health and well-being, according to the announcement.

“Co-created by youth, the Timmins Youth Wellness Hub’s unique rotational-site delivery model has been a success since the Fall of 2018,” said Brian Marks, Timmins Youth Wellness Hub chair.

“Its success is largely due to collaborative partnerships with more than 25 local agencies and organizations that have supported the hub since its inception. We are very appreciative of Glencore Kidd Operations’ generous financial support.”
