From a community tree-lighting to Santa's annual tour of Porcupine, there is still time to get a little dose of holiday cheer this weekend.

Here are some of the events going on:

Cram-a-Cruiser

Saturday, Dec. 16, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Your Independent Grocer, Metro in South Porcupine and on Algonquin Boulevard, Food Basics, Levi's Foodland

The South Porcupine OPP Auxiliary and Timmins Police Auxiliary are teaming up for the Cram-a-cruiser event. Donations will be given to the Timmins Food Bank, South Porcupine Food Bank, and First Baptist Church.

Annual Holiday Bake Sale

Dec. 16 , 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Porcupine Mall

Support the animals at the Timmins and District Humane Society by picking up some holiday baked goods.

Porcupine Mall Craft and Vendor Show

Dec. 15-Dec. 17

Porcupine Mall

Back by popular demand, this show boasts local crafters and a variety of vendors. Proceeds from the booths are donated to Timmins charities and non-profit groups.

Amid the Winter’s Snow

Saturday, Dec. 16, 8 p.m.

Ecole Secondaire Catholique Theriault

A Christmas Celebration from the Timmins Symphony Orchestra and Chorus with special guest, soprano Maghan McPhee. It will feature the choirs of Ecole catholique Don-Bosco, Ecole catholique St-Dominique, Timmins Centennial Public School, and W. Earle Miller Public School. Tickets are available at the Timmins Museum: National Exhibition Centre.

Timmins Rock vs. Espanola Express

Saturday, Dec. 16, 7 p.m.

McIntyre Arena

Gift wrapping

Saturday, Dec. 16, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Timmins Square

It’s the last day to let Timmins Seizure and Brain Injury Clinic volunteers wrap your gift. Prices range from $3 to $8, with the proceeds going to the non-profit group’s programming.

Candy Run

Sunday, Dec. 17, 9 a.m.

Porcupine

The Whitney Volunteer Fire Department is hitting the street with Santa for this annual tradition. Non-perishable food items are collected along the route for the South Porcupine Food Bank.

Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Sunday, Dec. 17, 6:30 p.m.

Hollinger Park, Timmins

The tradition was inspired by Miah Corbeil in 2015 and is still going strong. Along with lighting the community Christmas tree, there will be festive music, a sing-along and free hot chocolate. Donations of non-perishable food items will also be collected for the Yo Mobile!
