Help cram a cruiser for charity

With a little team work and help from the community, the police auxiliaries are hoping to fill cruisers with donations.

The Cram-a-Cruiser event is being held by the South Porcupine OPP Auxiliary and Timmins Police Auxiliary. Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Officers will be collecting food at Your Independent Grocer, Metro in South Porcupine and on Algonquin Boulevard, Food Basics, Levi's Foodland.

"There's going to be a cruiser at all five and the goal is to cram it with food," said Kate Cantin, Timmins Police corporate communications co-ordinator. 

The food is going to be donated to the Timmins Food Bank, South Porcupine Food Bank, and First Baptist Church.
