Looking to scare up a little fun this weekend?
Local residents have a lot of tricks up their sleeves for Halloween.
A lot of people have gone over the top with their Halloween decorations this year. If you're taking a tour around town, be sure to drive through Gold Centre to see what the Armstrongs have been busy putting together.
Here are some of the fun activities happening around town:
This popular haunt is back for the third year. If you're brave enough, take a tour through the haunted house located at 395 Toke St. It runs Saturday, Oct. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 31 from 7-10 p.m. There is no admission cost, but people are asked to bring a donation of cash of non-perishable food items for the South Porcupine Food Bank.
Plenty of thrills are packed into this attraction on Chestnut Lane (behind East Side Mario's). There is a zombie room, haunted cemetery, two areas for photos and many other spooks to look forward to. It's open Friday, Oct. 29, Saturday, Oct. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 31 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is a donation of cash or non-perishable food item. Food donations are for the Timmins Food Bank and cash will be donated to the Yo Mobile.
All ages are welcome at this Diane Crescent attraction. Take a walk through the cemetery and beyond, but keep an out for night creatures. It's open Oct. 30 from 7-9 p.m. and Oct. 31 from 4-10 p.m. A donation of a non-perishable food item is appreciated.
Wander through an eerie labyrinth of chopped body parts, spiders, cadavers, plague doctors, gypsy ladies, mummies, grim reapers and mad butchers and more, finding clues and figuring out the codes to get through. It's located at 84 Bruce Ave. and the cost is $10 a person. It runs Friday, Oct. 29 from 4-9 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30 from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 31 from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Guided Haunted Walks
Presented by Escape from Reality, this haunted walk is taking place 15 minutes east of South Porcupine. The guided walk through woods will tell stories with missing people, gold and witches, and more. Collect the clues to figure out what happened. Tickets at $20 each at Escape from Reality. It runs Oct. 29 and Oct. 30, with walks at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
