It’s free and for ages eight and up, although at least one member of the team must be 18 or over. Teams can have two to six people. To register, call 705-360-2623 ext. 8519.

Summer Concert Series

Wednesday, July 17, 6 - 9 p.m.

Schumacher Lions Club McIntyre Park

This week’s performers are Mr. Bill, M&M, and For His Glory. When the bands are changing over, Rebel Soul Tribe will be leading sessions of Zumba, Pound, Flow and line dancing. It’s free to attend. Voluntary cash or non-perishable food items for the Timmins and South Porcupine food banks are welcome. 

ABCs of Barbecue

Thursday, July 18, 6 p.m.

Timmins Public Library

Learn from local grill master René Gaudreau, who will be presenting tips on meat preparation, rubs, cooking temperatures, and special recipes.

Walk to End ALS 

Thursday, July 18 

Gillies Lake

Registration is at 5 p.m., with the walk starting at 6 p.m. The goal for the Timmins trek is to raise $7,500 for ALS research, and to support people with the disease. 

Public roller skating

Thursday, July 18, 7 - 9 p.m.

McIntyre Arena

The Gold Miners’ Daughters are holding public roller skates! Entry is $3, and it’s $5 for a pair of skates. 

Summerfest 

Thursday, July 18 - Saturday, July 20

Jake’s Bar, South Porcupine 

The 25th annual event is scaled back. Thursday there's movie trivia at 7 p.m. Friday starting at 9 p.m. there is live music with Kyle Cote and Bobby Allen, and Saturday will feature Cote and The 287s.
