A longtime Timmins business continues to boost the local hospital.

Western Auto Sales has donated $10,000 to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation (TADHF). The cash is for high-priority equipment needs.

“Timmins has been home to Western Auto Sales for over 40 years, our success is thanks to the support from our residents. This donation is our Thank You to the community we love. We know this will help many seeking care at Timmins and District Hospital," said Gord Wilson, Western Auto Sales owner, in a news release.

Hospital president and CAO Kate Fyfe thanked the business for investing in the cutting-edge equipment.

“Philanthropy is essential to the wellbeing of our health care system. We are grateful to Western Auto Sales and all our community partners who improve the lives of others when making donations to the Timmins and District Hospital," said Barb McCormick, TADHF manager of donor relations.
