Timmins' annual Christmas tree lighting will look a bit different this year.
The annual event is happening tomorrow (Dec. 9) at 5 p.m. at Hollinger Park.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, the city is asking people to not attend in person. The event will be streamed live on Facebook for residents to watch.
For people who attend in person, they are asked to stay in their vehicle.
"Please note that this will be the lighting of the tree only. No other special events will be taking place this year," reads the city advertisement.
