Two new COVID-19 cases are being reported in the Timiskaming Health Unit area.
According to the health unit, the cases are in the southern part of the district, which includes the Temiskaming Shores and Temagami areas.
Both people are contacts of a confirmed case and are isolating.
"Contact tracing is underway and those who have been identified as close contacts have been, or are in the process of being notified," reads the update.
These new cases bring the total count for the area up to 24. There are five known active cases in the district.
Since Saturday, six cases of the virus have been reported.
In the Timiskaming region, there are assessment centres in the areas of Temiskaming Shores, Englehart, Kirkland Lake, and Temagami. Testing is by appointment only.
