Walk-in services at the Timmins Police station are reopening this week.

The station is resuming services in the front reception area Friday, July 17.

According to police, people stopping by the station must use the hand sanitizer and follow the one-way prompts and social distancing floor markings to the reception area.

People will be screened with a brief COVID-19 questionnaire.

In keeping with the mandatory mask and face covering order issued, starting July 23 people will also require a face mask.

"Those persons attending the police station for routine "walk-in" service at any time after july 23 will be directed to leave the premises if they are not wearing a mask as required," reads a news release.

"Urgent or emergency situations requiring an immediate response will be managed accordingly in order to meet the needs of persons in distress."
