In accordance with local and provincial public health directives, the Timmins Symphony Orchestra (TSO) Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to postpone the orchestra's May 9 concert, French and German Masters, featuring violinist Mary-Elizabeth Brown and the Timmins Symphony Chorus.

“This decision does not come lightly, as we know that our orchestra, chorus, and audience members were looking forward to this performance,” said TSO Board President Paul Pigeau. "Support from our patrons, especially our donors, subscribers, and community partners has been consistently outstanding, and we very much regret that we are not able to present this event to our community. However, the health and safety of our membership and audience is our first priority, and we are committed to following public health guidelines as closely as possible."

The TSO is currently exploring several avenues in order to create and perform music during this challenging time. Information will be available on our Facebook page and website as these ideas develop in the coming weeks. We are looking forward to a time when we will once again be able to present exciting live concerts for our community.
