Seven new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Timmins.
One case is listed as community exposure, and six people are the contacts of a case. All are in self-isolation, according to the Porcupine Health Unit.
"Public health will notify all close contacts directly. If you are not contacted by public health, you are not considered a close contact," reads the bulletin.
So far this year, 29 cases have been reported in the health unit region.
To date, there have been 159 confirmed cases of the virus in total since the start of the pandemic. There are 30 known active cases — 22 in Timmins, two in Fort Albany, four in the area of Kapuskasing, Opasatika, Val Rita-Harty, Moonbeam, and Fauquier-Strickland, and two out of region..
Of the total cases in the health unit, 90 have been in Timmins.
