Potential low-risk COVID exposure at Timmins ski hill

A potential low-risk COVID-19 exposure advisory has been reported by Mount Jamieson Resort. 

It is for people at the resort Sunday, March 7 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

"Guests at the hill that day are advised to self-monitor for symptoms and notify the health unit should symptoms present," according the notice on Facebook.

The resort is undertaking a forensic clean of the entire facility, reads the notice. People are asked to continue following the hill's COVID-19 protocols, which can be found online here.

One new COVID-19 case was reported in Timmins today. 

The person is in self-isolation and the exposure is under investigation, according to the Porcupine Health Unit.

To date, there have been 344 confirmed cases of the virus. Of those, 314 are recovered and 25 people have died. There are five known active cases. 

There are COVID-19 assessment centres in Timmins, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Smooth Rock Falls, Hearst, and Hornepayne.
