Franco-Ontarian businesses, entrepreneurs and social enterprises will soon be able to promote their services and products through a free virtual platform.

The province is investing $250,000 to help the francophone business community expand its services and markets and reach more customers.

The bilingual platform, developed in partnership with Regroupement des gens d'affaires de la capitale nationale (RGA), is expected to launch by the end of March.

“The goal of this platform is to engage the Franco-Ontarian business community and to stimulate economic growth amongst its entrepreneurs and businesses," RGA’s Director General Lise Sarazin said in a news release.

"We've identified four types of businesses at different stages of digitization, which will enable us to integrate a "commerce" function into this platform, through call-to-action. This will allow the customer to purchase directly from the seller."

According to the RGA’s news release, the online platform is Business-to-Consumer (B2C) and will be called Quartier d'affaires.

The RGA will manage and promote the platform in collaboration with Club Canadien de Toronto (CCTO), Conseil de la coopération de l’Ontario (CCO), Société Économique de l’Ontario (SÉO) and the Fédération des gens d’affaires de l’Ontario (FGA), reads the release.
